Within Yorkshire and the Humber, there are just over 2,000 individual RIBA members and 184 RIBA chartered practices located throughout the region.
 
The members are represented by the regional council, which consists of elected honorary officers, branch representatives and working group convenors. It is customary for the honorary officers to serve for two years. The council meets four times a year with an Annual General Meeting in the summer months.
 
In addition the region elects two representatives to sit on the National RIBA Council.
