About the architect
Sir Christopher Wren is arguably Britain's best-known architect. Most of his life was dedicated to rebuilding London following the Great Fire of 1666. His masterpiece was, of course, the new St Paul's Cathedral, but Wren designed dozens of smaller City churches, aswell as Greenwich Hospital and Chelsea Hospital.
