RIBA Library Books and Periodicals CollectionThe RIBA Library is one of the most important architectural libraries in the world. Its books and periodicals are regarded as the national collection on architecture in the United Kingdom.

 

The Books and Periodicals Collection currently contains:

 

  • 150,000 books and 20,000 pamphlets, with new publications added regularly.
  • An Early Imprints Collection of 4,000 books published between 1478 and 1840.
  • A Loan Library of 4,500 books, available to members of the RIBA.
  • Over 2,000 periodical titles, of which 600 are current journals.
  • Material that covers all aspects of architecture and related fields such as planning, landscape architecture and interior design.
  • Material from all over the world and in many languages.

 

The Books and Periodicals Collection is part of the main holdings at 66 Portland Place. This unique resource is free and open to the public with photographic ID, as well as members of the RIBA. More details about access can be found in visitor information|.
